Tips & Tricks For Displaying Your USDOT Number Correctly Outside Of Your Commercial Vehicle | A Quick Guide To Be USDOT Compliant
If you are a first-time trucker, knowing what to display outside of your commercial vehicle can be a bit intimidating. Do not worry we are here to help.
Your USDOT or any regulation number that is applicable to you must be displayed on both sides of your commercial motor vehicle. Your lettering must be at least 2” inches in height so it’s visible from a distance of 50 feet away. Your regulation numbers must be on both sides of your truck and you must use a color that contrasts with the color of your motor vehicle. We recommend displaying all of your essential business information in one easy to read design template. This will help save time when you go through truck scales and weight stations.
