USDOT truck commercial lettering is one of the most important things when running a transportation business. Your USDOT & MC number identifies your company and authorities will be able to pull up your companies records with a few numbers (USDOT numbers).
Displaying your USDOT number is great if you’re on the other side. Let’s say your family member or friend gets into a collision with a commercial vehicle. If the vehicle has a USDOT number, you’ll be able to hold them accountable rather than getting in a collision with an unmarked vehicle.
A few things to keep in mind for displaying your USDOT number correctly.
Your US DOT number must be visible from a distance of least 50 feet (15.24 meters) and your lettering must be at least 2 inches (5 centimeters) in height.
The color of your USDOT number must contrast with the color of your commercial vehicle and it must be placed on both sides.
